PRI 2008 Day Two

From the second the doors opened on Friday, the show was packed with people at all corners of the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. Racers and custom car builders were drawn to the GM Performance Parts booth in part because of GMPP'€™s announcement of the "body-in-white"€ Camaro, which made great buzz at the show! Placed throughout the show were some modified Cobalts and Corvettes that were also popular attractions.

The new "€œbody-in-white"€ Camaro offers a blank canvas for tuners to make their wildest dreams come to reality. Tuners can add their choice of engine and transmission, suspension and interior and head out to the track in a vehicle that is truly their own. This adds a whole new realm of possibilities to possible configurations of new 2010 Chevy Camaro.

In further testament to the dominance of the Cobalt name in drag racing is a Wilson Manifold'€™s Pro RWD Chevy Cobalt we found inside the Palm Beach International Dragway booth. This Cobalt means business and you can tell even with the fresh paint job it'€™s sporting. Strolling along to the STS booth, we found a two-tone Chevy Corvette that made us do a double take. With only 50 to be built in 2009 and pumping out 700hp to the tire, this Corvette just further exemplifies GM’s supremacy in the market.

We have some great pictures of all the aforementioned cars in our gallery here and here for more information on all GM Performance Parts offerings at the show.
