We know, we know. You’re welcome. Now we call Monday Day 0 because the show doesn’t officially start until Tuesday – which would be Day 1 for those of you following along. But we wouldn’t want you all to miss a beat so we’re starting the coverage from the first bowtie-powered vehicle we can find on Monday and we’re not going to stop until they kick us out of the joint on Friday.

Well it's that time of the year again - SEMA 2010. As most of you know, SEMA is the largest aftermarket auto show in the country and where the top players in the aftermarket world come out to show off their new parts, accessories and trends. Custom car builders come out by the thousands and show off some of the world’s top automobiles. Media come from all over the globe to cover SEMA and at times dedicate a whole site or magazine to just SEMA coverage.

GM has notoriously come out with many great cars and products at this event. If you remember about 4 years ago, GMTS here was able to show off the very first in person pics of the brand new Cobalt SS Turbo. Funny though, because at the time many of you thought this car was a fake and not real. Hey, we don't fault you for that and understood your excitement for that upcoming vehicle. Last year, GMTS brought you the top Camaros at the show and some of the top builders putting these cars together. Given that this was one of the hottest cars at the event, we also broke rumors on who was building what and how they were planning to debut their projects.

Today I am excited to tell you that GM has been hard at work again. There is some really exciting news that will be coming out on Tuesday Nov 2nd at the show that I am sure all of you enthusiasts will love to hear about. We will be bringing you this coverage fast right from the show and the announcement. I believe you will see GM's commitment to the enthusiast market and their desire to help you, the enthusiasts, continue to build your cars in the personalized and custom way as you have done for years.

We will have teaser photos starting on Monday morning Nov 1, and then coverage daily from the event. We are excited to hear your feedback and comments about the announcement and the custom cars there at the event.

I leave you with this quick teaser video from GM.

Enjoy.

Tjin Edition Camaro SEMA Build

A little while back we broke the news that renowned custom car builder Neil Tjin would be receiving a Camaro to build up for the 2009 SEMA Show. Neil has been one of the leaders in automotive design and styling for the better part of this decade and we were excited to hear that he and his team would get to do their magic to a 2010 Chevy Camaro. When we released the winners list we had renderings of almost every vehicle except for Neil’s Camaro which just left us wondering exactly what he had in store for all of us.

GM Design SEMA Camaro Winners List

The 2010 Camaro is one of the hottest cars on the scene right now and one that no doubt will be the “it” car at this year’s SEMA Show. Now while anyone can head down to the showroom floor of their local Chevy dealer and pick one of these bad boys up, only a very select few individuals will be chosen by the GM Design Team to build a custom Camaro on behalf of General Motors. In total, eight Camaros will be delivered to the designers that won the design contest with a mix of V6 and V8 model renderings being selected.

Some of you may have heard of his personal project www.fatlace.com or some of you may know him from his insane car builds like his 2006 turbocharged Pontiac Solstice (Check out pics of that car here shot by our friend Antonio Alvendia from Speed Hunters - http://speedhunters.com/archive/2008/12/11/car-feature-gt-gt-grip-unit-solstice.aspx), either way  this guy is the real deal.

GM Addiction SEMA Camaro Render

As the 2009 SEMA Show ticks ever closer, the decision makers at GM have to decide which top car designers are going to receive one of the only seven Camaros to make into their own custom masterpiece. One of the proposal renderings to possibly receive a Camaro is from someone that Cobalt fans have gotten to know very well over the years and one that Camaro fans might soon come to know; that is the folks over at GM Addiction.
