Autoblog; Cobalt SS Turbo = Spider Monkey

Written by Corey Mullane | Tuesday, 14 October 2008 | 0 comments

Well, it seems that the Chevy Cobalt SS Turbo has finally arrived. Autoblog has drunk the Kool-aid and is now an official member of the €œCobalt SS Turbo Rocks My Socks€ club.

Autoblog, the premier automotive information web site, recently had a chance to experience the hottest new sport compact car on the planet and boy were they surprised. So surprised in fact, that Autoblogger John Neff called the Chevy Cobalt SS Turbo, "The most impressive performance car to wear a bow-tie badge on sale today."

The story on Autoblog.com is a great read and just reaffirms what we have been saying since before this monster started roaming the streets. "€œToiling around is not what the Cobalt SS Turbo was designed for. It was designed to embarrass more powerful and expensive cars on the track,"€ Neff wrote. The Cobalt SS does that so well, as we posted back in October, that the Cobalt SS outran cars costing double and which had twice the horsepower at VIR during Car and Driver's Lightning Lap Competition.

You can check out the entire story for yourself here - In the Autoblog Garage: 2009 Chevy Cobalt SS Turbo

Be wary of the Cobalt SS though, because, as Autoblog found out, "€œThe Cobalt SS Turbo will attack unsuspecting sports cars like a spider monkey because they'll never see it coming."
