The Explorer Scouts really had the chance to go to town this year as they were delivered a “body-in-white” Camaro and a ton of GM Performance Parts goodies to start their project with. Specifically, they were tasked with strapping in an all-aluminum GM Performance Parts Commemorative ZL1 427 cubic inch Big Block with a Ramjet intake into the 2010 Camaro body… And that was just the start. Gold, black and red paint adorns the outside body panels and GMPP exterior bits while on the inside, orange accents, leather and even a Nintendo Wii in the trunk complete the Scout’s Camaro.
A big “Congratulations!” goes out from all of us here at GMTS to the entire Explorer Scouts team and to all that had a hand in giving these kids a shot at working on a real project car for an official car show.
There are over 629 pictures documenting the build and if you want to see for yourself what goes into building a car of this magnitude and all of the work the Explorers performed, you can check out those images here.
