The GMTS crew was out in full force at Formula Drift Long Beach to bring you live video updates and images straight from the track. The event was fantastic, as most FD events are, and the Drifting action was intense as all of the drivers saw their first seat time under competition for the 2010 season. Many drivers had new or reworked rides and it was no different for GM-fan favorite and all around good guy, Gary Gardella, who was sporting a new 2.4L turbocharged ECOtec that was putting out around 500hp and change.

Upon entering the Gardella Racing banner into Drifting competition back in ‘08, Gardella took a back seat to actually competing behind the wheel and has left those duties to driving ace and rock star Ryan Tuerck. For those not on the Drifting ball, Tuerck won the 2008 FD Driver of the Year honors and came in second in points for the season last year. This year he is one of the favorites to win the championship and a sure bet for most Fantasy Drift team owners (Leagues are still available for Fantasy Drift so signup now before the race at Road Atlanta too get in on the action).

We have tons of images in our gallery below and videos from the track can be seen on the official GMTS YouTube Channel – YouTube.com/GMTunerSource. Enjoy and after perusing through the images, let us know who you think has the sweetest ride for ’10 in the comments below.

That is the general consensus among the interweb automotive news community. We knew that the new Pontiac G8 GXP was going to knock their socks off, but we love seeing the reports of the new LS3-powered G8 GXP winning over hordes of new fans. We would quote Autoblog's feelings on the new Pontiac, but this is a family site and, well, their excitement had some expletives we'€™d rather not repeat here.

TPR Magazine - Solstice Issue

TPR Magazine is a great tech and how-to publication that puts out six issues a year. They have great tech in each issue and do a lot of cool owners meets around the nation. Many of you may be familiar with them, as we have found that the Cobalt nation has a strong hands-on DIY base.

That'€™s exactly what TPR focuses on!

In each issue of TPR they focus on a particular model and make and break down the whole car, providing cool inside info on the vehicle and aftermarket parts, along with tips and tricks on how to work on these cars. This is in addition to all kinds of regular tech topics and features.
