Gardella Racing Promo Video
Gary Gardella and his band of merry men at Gardella Racing have been bringing the heat for the 2010 Formula Drift season. Seemingly burning the candle at both ends, the boys at Gardella Racing appear to be everywhere lately. We came across a video they put together to show everyone exactly what the Gardella Racing team is all about. It’s definitely worth the watch with interviews from Gary and Ryan and some wicked shots of the Mobil 1 Pontiac Solstice in action. Check it out after the jump.
Gary Gardella: A Look Into 2008

Gary Gardella made a name for himself the right way in the racing industry. His reputation is very good and always well received because he has been there from the beginning, has maintained an incredible attitude and runs with an amazing passion to win! I have rarely seen Gary stop at a table to sign autographs where there wasn't a line of enthusiasts waiting to get his autograph and to have a chance to talk to him. One of my favorite things about Gary is that he approaches each fan as his most important. And it shows!
FAQ – Plug ‘N Play LNF Stage 1
One of the most frequently asked questions we receive and we see online is concerning the issue of splicing into the factory wiring harness to install the new sensors needed for the LNF Stage 1 kit. We see the possible arise for concern if this was an aftermarket kit but rest assured that the connections made by the tech installing this kit at your local GM dealer will be as good as the factory connections, or else this kit would not be released as such. Regardless of that fact, some guys want to keep their engine bay as clean looking as possible or have some other reason for wanting a harness adapter and we understand that as well.
Drifting on VERSUS – This Sunday!
Drifting is the hottest form of motorsport right now so it was only a matter of time before these sideways phenoms got some official air time on the old moving picture box. Drifting is a fantastic sport but unless you live in one of the 7 scheduled event stops, you probably haven't seen an actual drifting competition in its entirety and are left wondering what all the hype is about. Starting this Sunday though, you'll have the chance to watch the 2009 Formula DRIFT season from start to finish, right from the comfort of your own home, courtesy of VERSUS. If you're an ECOtec fan, you'll start out with a favorite driver too as Ryan Tuerck in his Mobil 1 Pontiac Solstice has been tearing it up all season.
Sick Solstice Headlamps
We just received a call from Tom over at CrateEngineDepot.com and he gave us the lowdown on some new Solstice headlamps he just got in that are pretty slick. These new headlamps are the OEM factory Solstice headlamps but with a twist in that the reflective factory backings are removed in favor of a black painted piece.
This looks like a perfect accessory for any owners of a Mysterious Black Solstice to give it that Corvette color-matched headlight look. If you’re Solstice is adorned with another pigment off the Pontiac color palette, these headlamps will add a sinister look that helps lend a bit of attitude to the front of your ride.
Ryan Tuerck’s Pontiac Solstice Wants To Be Like Mike
This past weekend was Round 4 of Formula D and while our boy Ryan Tuerck didn’t capture the top spot on the podium, he did manage to steal the limelight by accomplishing the first (that we know of) vehicle to catch air under competition and complete the course. The story goes a little something like this…
Ryan Tuerck was matched up against Katsuhiro Ueo for a spot in the Great 8. Ueo was in front coming into the corner and slide a too far out off the line when Tuerck, who was coming in hard as usual, seemed to attempt to overtake Ueo by following a more shallow line. Tuerck ended up placing his back right tire right next to Ueo's front left tire and pop went the Solstice. In resilient fashion, Ryan drove his Mobil 1 Pontiac Solstice through the rest of the course like nothing even happened.
